January 20, 2024Summerlin Parkway And The 215 Beltway Construction Project 2024. Starting in the second half of 2024, expect major improvements and changes at this interchange. According to Clark County, the Summerlin Parkway and 215 Beltway will see an addition of 4 brand new bridges. There will also be a trail system added to the area too. As your Summerlin Realtor, I keep up with current construction projects. Also, all new things for the area including Summerlin West.
What Improvements Can We Expect?
One floyover bridge will provide direct access from eastbound Summerlin Parkway to the southbound 215 Beltway. Currrently, that is completed by using a clover designed ramp.
A connector ramp will be added from Far Hills Drive into the northbound 215 Beltway. This will eliminate the traffic light at the Summerlin Parkway bridge and the 215 Beltway.
Widening the Summerlin Parkway Bridge to add an additional lane for eastbound traffic to go northbound on the 215 Beltway.
Direct access from southbound 215 Beltway into westbound Sunset Bend which will lead into Summerlin West for the first time.
Direct access from westbound Summerlin Parkway into the Norhtbound 215 Beltway.
Removal of traffic lights and the intersection of the Summerlin Parkway and the 215 Beltway.
Three new trail bridges, retaining walls, storm drainage facilities, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, streetlighting, traffic signals modifications.
Utility modifications and relocations, traffic control devices/signage, and pavement markings.
This project will construct the remaining direct ramps connecting the Clark County 215 Beltway to Summerlin Parkway. Also braided ramps between Far Hills Avenue and Summerlin Parkway, which will greatly improve mobility through the area.
How Long Will This Project Take?
Clark County is estimating that this project will start in the second half of 2024. It will finish in two years from that start date. Drone footage on my You Tube Channel (www.youtube.com/summerlinrealtor) shows the entrance into Summerlin West will not be opened now. Traveling eastbound from Summerlin West into the Summerlin Parkway is currently blocked off. Drone footage shows the lanes on the street prevent eastbound traffic.
