October 5, 2022Four Reasons to Relocate from Los Angeles to Las Vegas
October 15, 2022Oakland A’s Relocation To Las Vegas Update!
The Oakland A’s possibly becoming The Las Vegas A’s might become a reality soon. Las Vegas might actually appropriate another professional sports team from the City of Oakland! Here is the current Oakland A’s Relocation To Las Vegas Update! As of October 4, 2022 the Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that the city of Oakland missed a key deadline to finalize a development agreement between the city of Oakland and the Oakland A’s baseball team to create a new bay area ballpark.

The Howard Terminal Project:
The Howard Terminal Project would have created a 1 billion dollar ballpark near the water similar to The San Francisco Giant’s Oracle Ballpark in The China Basin area of San Francisco. As of right now, there is no deal in the works and the deadlines for any plans are now stalled.
The Oakland A’s have a deal in place right now until the end of the 2024 baseball season to continue to play at Ring Central Coliseum. This deal will give the A’s the time to develop a new ballpark. This project can now go into 2023 since there was not a deal in place with the City of Oakland this week.
Major League Baseball’s OK to Relocate:
In 2021, Major League Baseball gave the OK to the Oakland A’s to start exploring other cities as a potential option besides Oakland. Las Vegas was one of the cities that Major League Baseball was exploring.
It also made sense since the Oakland A’s triple A team is based in Summerlin. With the success of the Las Vegas Raiders as well as the Las Vegas Golden Knights, MLB and the NBA would be logical choices to come to Las Vegas in the near future.
A’s President Dave Kaval stated in June 2022 that if the efforts failed in 2022 and it pushed this deal into 2023, it would doom their efforts to stay in Oakland.
Two Possible Las Vegas Locations:
Two potential locations for a domed ballpark in Las Vegas would be at The Tropicana Hotel located at Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana. Its new owners Bally’s Corporation would have to tear down the hotel and redevelop a facility for the A’s.
The other possible location would be located at Las Vegas Blvd and Sahara at the Life is Beautiful location at the southwest corner of the intersection.
Talks are underway right now for both of these locations. Summerlin was also discussed as a possible location located at Summerlin Parkway and the 215 but nothing new has been talked about for awhile now. Be sure to continue to follow my blog posts here: https://lvrealty4sale.com/blog/
