No State Income Taxes!
That’s right, Nevada does not have state income taxes. This is a huge savings for you if you are already living in California, New York, New Jersey or Washington state. Several of these states have at least a 13% state income tax or higher. Here in Nevada, not having a state income tax makes Summerlin a very affordable place to live. Just think about that extra income you are saving and not sending to the state.
Quality of Life:
Here in Summerlin we enjoy outdoor trails for hiking, biking and of course walking and running! Traffic? Not here in Summerlin. It’s so easy getting around this part of Las Vegas. Everything has been designed as a master planned community. This means that things are planned out before they build here. Downtown Summerlin is the core of the Summerlin Community and it’s still being built out. From Macy’s and Dillard’s as the ancor stores to plenty of restaurants and shops make up this family friendly area. It’s easy to walk around since it’s pedestrian friendly.
You can also bring your dog here and walk the entire area. From weekly farmers markets to family friendly parades and events, Downtown Summerlin has it all! The Las Vegas Ballpark is also part of the area along with the Golden Knights NHL Hockey teams training facility that’s open to the public. There is also plenty of stores within a few minutes to drive to. Some stores are Costco, Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy and more! Everthing is easy to get to and you are not stuck in traffic.
Housing:
Housing is limited just like most places in the United States right now. Supply remains low but if you plan out what you are looking for and what you want now, it may take you 20 minutes to find something or 6 months depending on your budget and your home needs. Currently as to the date to this blog post, homes in Summerlin are priced around $485,000.00 to over 25 million dollars.
