March 5, 2024Ascension Summerlin Takes Shape!
March 15, 2024Oakland A’s Reveal New Las Vegas Stadium Plans- The Oakland A’s have released brand new images of what will be their new home on the Las Vegas Strip for the 2028 baseball season. These new images show an enclosed stadium that will not have a retractable roof. It will have an all glass screen that will face northwest towards New York, New York Hotel and towards the intersection of Tropicana and The Las Vegas Strip. As your Summerlin Realtor, I keep up with all things that will affect the Las Vegas Valley.
New Images of The Stadium:
Construction Time Line:
The Tropicana Hotel will close on April 3, 2024. Demo work will take 1 year and construction will be done in time for the 2028 baseball season. The stadium takes up approximately 9 acres of the 35 acres of land that the site has to redevelope. Tropicana has stated that they will build a hotel on this property for the new stadium. There will also be 2,500 parking spaces for the new stadium.
Features of The New Stadium:
The new Oakland A’s stadium will feature 32,000 seats, an open pavillion area on the northwest part of the property so that people can take pictures of the glass wall out in center field. Other possible features of the Las Vegas Baseball Stadium will be a connection to the Boring Companies Tesla underground transit system that currently links the convention center and World Resorts. The stadium will also have an 18,000 square foot LED display making it the biggest LED display in Major League Baseball.
The Future of Las Vegas:
As a Summerlin Realtor with 20 years of experience in the Las Vegas Valley, I have seen this city transform itself into the power house that it currently is right now. More and more companies and businesses are coming to our state and our city. Why? Nevada is business friendly, no state income taxes, quality of life is good, growth is driving our economy, water levels are up at Lake Mead, more people are calling Souther Nevada home because we want to grow and develop.
Housing does remain a concern and an issue for me. Limited inventory and a lack of building new homes to grow our inventory has been an issue for decades. Hoepfully this will change over the next few years. If you are thinking about moving to Las Vegas or moving to Summerlin, give me a call at: 702-768-2552.
